Erplain is a cloud-based inventory and order management system for small businesses that sell to other businesses. Its own description is a user-friendly B2B sales and inventory management solution, and its core customers are companies that buy products from suppliers, stock them and resell them, mainly to retailers.
The company was founded in 2016 in Grenoble, France, and also has an office in Toronto, Canada. The idea came from cofounder Edouard, who built Excel macros to automate inventory while working for a small distributor in France, then developed Erplain with his brother. The software is available in English and French and works on tablets and phones.
Erplain links three areas: sales, purchases and inventory. A sale moves through estimates, sales orders, shipping orders and invoices, while purchases move through purchase orders to suppliers. Each document updates stock automatically, so quantities reflect what has been sold, ordered or received without separate manual adjustments.
Stock is shown by storage location and split into available, incoming (pending purchases) and reserved quantities for customer orders. Reorder points trigger alerts when stock runs low, and a single click can reorder from a supplier. Customers can also place orders themselves through the B2B Store, which is synchronized with inventory.
On the inventory side, Erplain supports multiple locations, stock counts, barcodes, product variants, and tracking by batch or lot number and expiry date. Products can be combined into kits, packs in set quantities, and assemblies built from components. Inventory can be valued in real time and for a specific date.
On the sales and purchasing side, it offers an automated sales workflow, pricing rules, subscriptions, purchase approvals, multi-currency purchase orders and supplier SKUs. Reporting covers cost of goods sold, margins and markup rates, and highlights top customers and best-selling items. A point-of-sale option and a mobile B2B order-taking app are also listed.
Erplain is cloud inventory and order management software for small B2B businesses. It automates estimates, sales orders, invoices and purchase orders while updating stock in real time.
Erplain starts at $69/month billed annually for the essentials, which cover sales and inventory management. Preset configurations are shown at $163 and $304 per month, billed annually, and all can be customized. One user is included, extra users cost $16/month each, and prices exclude taxes.
Yes. Every sign-up includes a free 14-day trial, and no credit card is needed to start. A credit card is required once the trial ends and you move to a paid plan.
Erplain is built for small and mid-sized B2B companies that buy, stock and resell products, especially wholesalers, distributors and import/export businesses. Contractors, retailers and sellers using Shopify are also covered.
Erplain integrates with QuickBooks Online, Shopify, Pennylane and Stripe. The site also lists an API for other connections.
Only in a limited way. You can build assemblies and kits from components and track their stock. Erplain states that it does not support job costing, work in progress or waste expense.
Each plan includes 1,000 orders per month, and extra orders cost $0.04 each only in months when the limit is exceeded. An order is a customer transaction (quote, sales order or invoice) or a supplier purchase order, and one sale counts once even when it has several documents.
Erplain says you can cancel or suspend your account at any time. Data can be exported into spreadsheet-compatible formats before you leave, and if you delete the account your data is removed from its servers. Annual billing carries a 12-month commitment.
