Knowster is an AI chatbot that answers visitor questions from the content of your own website. It reads the pages you have already published, builds a searchable index from them, and replies in the visitor's language with a link to the source. It is not a general-purpose assistant and does not draw on public internet knowledge.
It is built by Dmytro Klymentiev, who describes it as a way for a site to explain itself. He says much of the work goes into getting the bot to admit it does not know instead of guessing. When it cannot answer, it offers to connect the visitor with your team.
You give Knowster your website address, test it with the questions customers ask, then paste one script tag into your site. It crawls public HTML pages and linked pages under the same domain, and re-syncs automatically when content changes. Pages behind a login are not crawled. Most training runs finish in under two minutes.
For each question, Knowster finds the best matching passage and writes a reply from it. If an answer is wrong, you can trace it to the source, update the content and re-sync, or write the answer yourself. A free demo reads up to 20 pages, stores nothing and disappears after 15 minutes.
Training sources include your website, uploaded PDF, DOCX and TXT files, pasted text, and one read-only Google Drive folder checked every 10 minutes. Hand-written answers cover things your site never states, and pinned answers are followed word for word. Visitors can write in any language and receive replies in the same one.
The widget takes on your site's colors, corners and tone. Lead capture collects an email when visitors ask about price or availability, and leads can go to email, Google Sheets or a signed webhook. An analytics dashboard shows what visitors asked and where the bot handed off, and white-label branding is available from Pro.
Knowster is an AI chatbot trained on your own website, documents and pasted text. It answers visitor questions from that content, in the visitor's language, with a link to the source. It also captures leads and passes them to email, Google Sheets or a webhook.
Knowster has a free plan at $0. Paid plans are Starter at $39 per month, Pro at $99 per month and Scale at $299 per month, billed monthly. Enterprise pricing is custom.
Yes. The free plan has no time limit and requires no credit card. It includes 1 website, 100 messages and 10 leads per month, with Knowster branding. The site also offers a free demo that reads up to 20 pages and needs no account.
The assistant shows a short note inviting visitors to leave their email, so lead capture continues. You can add a top-up pack of 1,000 messages for $20 or upgrade your plan. Top-ups are prepaid and one-off, so you are never charged automatically.
It can learn from your public website pages, uploaded PDF, DOCX and TXT files, pasted text, and one read-only Google Drive folder. You can also write answers by hand for information your site does not state. Pages behind a login are not crawled.
Leads can be sent by email, to Google Sheets, or to any webhook, and Google Drive can be connected as a knowledge source. The widget works on any site that accepts a script tag, including WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Framer, Ghost and Drupal.
The company positions it for small businesses. Setup takes about five minutes with one line of code, no training scripts are needed, and the free and $39 Starter plans suit a single small site with recurring questions.
According to Knowster, data moves over HTTPS, content is not shared with third parties and it is never used to train models. Webhook deliveries are signed so your endpoint can verify they came from Knowster.
