Montonio is an ecommerce platform that connects online checkout, payments, refunds, shipping and parcel tracking in a single dashboard. The company was founded in 2018 and reports that more than 8,000 merchants across the Baltics and Poland use it, with Finland added more recently.
Its stated starting point is a common frustration: small online stores often juggle a payment provider, several carrier portals and separate tools for refunds and tracking, none of which talk to each other. Montonio aims to replace that patchwork with one stack and one support relationship for both payments and parcels.
On the compliance side, the payment initiation service is provided by Montonio Finance UAB, licensed by the Bank of Lithuania and supervised by the Polish KNF, the Latvian central bank and the Estonian FSA. The company also lists the highest level of PCI DSS certification and GDPR compliance.
Onboarding follows four steps. A merchant creates an account and submits business details, Montonio reviews the application and replies in as little as 24 hours, the merchant installs a plugin or connects through the API, and then the store can accept payments, print labels and track deliveries.
At checkout, customers choose from bank payments, cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Pay Later. Each bank appears separately, so shoppers pick their bank and pay with few steps. Montonio says this flow reduces failed payments and reports up to 10% more completed sales for merchants.
For shipping, merchants either use Montonio contracts, which give pre-negotiated carrier rates under one invoice, or connect their own carrier contracts using API keys. In the second case, the carrier still bills the merchant directly, but labels, pickups and tracking stay in Montonio.
On the payments side, Montonio supports bank payments, cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, Pay Later split into up to 3 parts, and financing of up to 72 months that Inbank charges to the buyer. Payment links cover invoices and sales without a website. Refunds for cards, wallets and refundable bank payments are free.
Shipping tools include printing up to 100 labels at once across carriers, editing label data before printing, courier pickup scheduling, a picklist and packing assistant, and a parcel search by status. Shipping analytics help merchants compare carrier speed, reliability and geography.
After purchase, a live tracking page and automatic tracking emails reduce where-is-my-order requests. On Core and above they can be branded, and the tracking page can show product recommendations. Payment analytics offer 10+ real-time reports on conversion and performance.
Montonio is an ecommerce platform that combines checkout payments, refunds, shipping labels, courier pickups and parcel tracking in one dashboard. It was founded in 2018 and serves more than 8,000 merchants across the Baltics and Poland, and it is now available in Finland.
For Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, Starter costs €11.99 per month, Core €14.99 and Core Flex €39.99, with transaction fees on top. Custom plans use volume-based pricing. Shopify merchants pay 0.79% + €0.10 per bank payment and 0.99% + €0.15 for cards.
The sources do not mention a free plan or free trial. Sign-up involves creating an account and a verification review that takes as little as 24 hours.
It supports bank payments, card payments, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus Pay Later, financing and shareable payment links. BLIK is also listed for Polish merchants in the Shopify integration page.
Supported carriers are Omniva, DPD, Unisend, SmartPosti, Venipak, Latvian Post, InPost and Orlen Paczka. International shipping runs through Montonio International Shipping, partnered with Nova Post.
With Montonio contracts you use pre-negotiated rates, receive one combined invoice and contact Montonio for parcel issues. With direct contracts you plug in your own carrier API keys and each carrier invoices you directly.
Montonio has plugins for WooCommerce, Shopify, PrestaShop, Magento and OpenCart. Custom-built stores can connect through its API.
The company designs its tools for small and mid-sized merchants, from new sellers to stores shipping around 500 orders a week. Starter has no volume requirement for shipping and no minimum parcel counts.
