Moqups is a cloud-based visual collaboration platform for creating wireframes, mockups, flowcharts and diagrams, and interactive prototypes entirely in the browser. It combines several design workflows — UI/UX wireframing, mind maps, sitemaps, org charts, user flows and UML diagrams — in a single canvas so teams do not have to switch between separate tools for each stage of a project.

The editor ships with 150+ ready-made templates, 20+ preloaded icon sets, UI stencils (iOS, Android, Bootstrap) and Google Fonts, plus support for importing existing Balsamiq files. Projects can be shared with unlimited guests, exported, and (on paid plans) co-edited live with teammates in real time. According to Moqups' own marketing, the platform is used by more than 2 million people, including teams at large organizations such as Microsoft, Intel, Sony, Amazon and Oracle.

Plans range from a free tier (no credit card required) through Starter, Business and Unlimited tiers, with higher tiers adding team roles and permissions, single sign-on, custom templates, Jira/Confluence integration, and password-protected PDF exports.

Key Features

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Combines wireframing, mockups, diagramming, and interactive prototyping in a single browser-based workspace instead of separate tools
  • Free plan available with no credit card required, covering 2 projects and 150+ templates to try before paying
  • Large built-in library of templates, icon sets, and UI stencils (iOS, Android, Bootstrap) speeds up getting started
  • Runs entirely in the browser, so there's nothing to install and projects are accessible from any device
  • Can import existing Balsamiq files, easing migration for teams switching tools

Cons

  • Free plan is capped at 2 projects and 400 objects per project, which is tight for ongoing production work
  • Real-time collaboration, team roles/permissions, and SSO are locked behind the pricier Business and Unlimited plans
  • Costs scale quickly for larger teams, since Business and Unlimited pricing is per-seat with add-on seat packs
