Runbear is a platform that adds named, shared AI agents to Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Discord. Instead of a personal assistant for each user, a team creates agents such as @Support, @SalesOps, @HR, @RevOps, or @Marketing. Anyone in the channel can @mention an agent, and each one has an owner and only the tools it has been given.
Agents answer from a team's own knowledge and can read from and act in more than 2,000 tools. Runbear says more than 400 teams use it, including Matillion, Fireflies.ai, BCG, and Minted. The company is based in San Francisco and sells to business teams.
A team installs Runbear in Slack or Teams like any other app, then describes the job it wants done in a Slack chat. Runbear asks what the agent should read and which tools it can use, then ships the agent to the chosen channel. The team picks Claude, GPT, or Gemini for each agent.
Agents respond when mentioned, and they can also start on their own. A churn-risk keyword in a channel, the end of a Zoom meeting, or a new email in a shared inbox can trigger work. The agent drafts its output, such as a reply or recap, and pings the owner for review.
Knowledge and tools are set per agent. Sources include Google Drive, Confluence, and Notion, and tools include HubSpot, Zendesk, Gmail, and Google Sheets. Runbear also supports MCP servers, either from a managed catalog with OAuth or any remote server reachable over HTTPS using Streamable HTTP or SSE.
Access can be set per user, so the agent acts with each member's own permissions, or shared with one account for everyone. Business adds an audit log of every prompt, tool call, and reply, plus SAML/SSO and bring-your-own-key. Enterprise adds SCIM provisioning and a signed DPA.
Runbear is a no-code platform that adds named, shared AI agents to Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Discord. Agents answer from a team's knowledge and act in connected tools, and anyone in a channel can @mention them.
Team is $99 per month with 20,000 credits and 5 builders. Business is $399 per month with 100,000 credits and 10 builders. Enterprise has custom pricing. Yearly billing is listed at 20% off.
The site says Runbear is free to start with no credit card required. The pricing page lists only the paid Team, Business, and Enterprise plans, so the limits of the free start are not published there.
No. Runbear charges by usage in credits, and one subscription covers every teammate who uses the agents. Plans do limit builders, the members who create and manage agents: 5 on Team and 10 on Business.
Agents can read from and act in more than 2,000 tools, and the integrations directory lists 2,500+. Examples include Notion, Google Drive, Confluence, HubSpot, Zendesk, Salesforce, Jira, GitHub, and Stripe. Remote MCP servers can also be added.
Teams choose Claude, GPT, or Gemini for each agent. On Business and Enterprise, a team can bring its own LLM key and pay the provider directly.
According to Runbear, it does not use customer data to train AI models and does not sell or share data. It says it reads only the messages needed to respond, such as a thread where the agent is mentioned.
Runbear supports HIPAA compliance for eligible Enterprise customers with a BAA and a supported configuration. A BAA is on request and is not included automatically, and connected services need separate review.
