ShippingIQ is an Australian-built freight rate calculator for Shopify and WooCommerce stores. Instead of relying on a third-party carrier network with marked-up prices, merchants upload the rate card and zone file their own carrier (Allied Express, Hunter Express, StarTrack, Mainfreight or any regional operator) already gave them. ShippingIQ's AI reads that rate card — CSV, Excel, or on the Pro plan a PDF, including messy legacy layouts with merged cells — and extracts zones, weight breaks and surcharges automatically. Those rates are then served live at checkout via a Shopify or WooCommerce plugin, so customers see accurate freight cost instead of a flat estimate. Merchants can layer on free-shipping thresholds, surcharge triggers, a display mode, and a margin on top of their carrier cost. The dashboard also works standalone, without a connected store, for quoting phone orders or wholesale freight. ShippingIQ never touches or marks up the underlying carrier pricing — it stays exactly what the merchant negotiated.

Key Features

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Uses the merchant's own negotiated carrier rates with no platform markup
  • AI reads messy CSV, Excel, or PDF rate cards automatically, including merged cells and inconsistent formats
  • Genuine free plan (1 carrier, 100 checkout quotes/month) with no credit card required to start
  • Works with any carrier that issues a rate card, not just major national names
  • Dashboard can be used standalone for phone or wholesale quotes without a connected storefront

Cons

  • PDF rate card conversion is gated to the Pro plan; free plan only accepts CSV/Excel
  • Free plan is limited to a single carrier and one connected store, which will be restrictive for multi-carrier or multi-store merchants
  • Currently focused on the Australian carrier market, so international/multi-country freight coverage is unclear
  • As a small, newer vendor it lacks the established track record of larger shipping-rate platforms
