Slashspace is a canvas-first AI interface built for hands-on, long-context work on hard problems. It runs as a desktop app and replaces the single scrolling chat with an infinite canvas, where each chat, note, PDF, video and web page is its own node. The product was formerly called RabbitHoles AI and is operated by Lokus LLC.
Its founder, Praneeth Pike, describes it as built for people who think in branches, iterations and variations. The site positions it against tools used to think on a canvas rather than linear chat apps, and says it is meant to keep the person in the loop, with AI working beside you instead of in your place.
You open a canvas for each project, then add sources by pasting a link, dropping in a PDF or Office file, or pressing a key for a note. Chats are created by clicking an empty spot or dragging from a source. Lines between nodes decide what each chat reads, and connected sources are read in full with every message, with nothing summarized or trimmed.
When a side question comes up, you branch. A shortcut opens the question in a new chat beside the original with the conversation so far, or you can select one sentence and ask about just that line. Chats with no connections get a short summary of the canvas by default, or nothing if you switch to Isolated context.
The canvas supports chat, text, document, web page, post, image and scratch pad nodes. Navigation tools include a mini map, Fit View, title pills below 30% zoom, a node navigator and search, with Local Search on your computer and AI Search available once you opt in to cloud indexing. Tidy Up, groups, colors and Minimize all help keep large canvases readable.
On the AI side, each chat picks its own model, so Claude, GPT, Gemini and local models can answer the same question side by side. Orchestrator mode plans work, creates nodes and delegates to subagents. Connectors reach tools such as Notion, GitHub and Gmail through Composio and MCP, and you can add skills for agent chats.
