SnapPress is an iOS app built by solo developer Ken Furuta of 37design Inc. (Kobe, Japan, founded 2013) that solves the tedious workflow of uploading photos to a self-hosted WordPress site from an iPhone. Instead of adding images one at a time through a browser, users register a WordPress site by scanning a QR code (via the companion SnapPress Connect WordPress.org plugin), select up to 20 photos from their camera roll, and upload them to the WordPress Media Library in about 10 seconds with a single tap. The app also supports iOS Share and Action Extensions for uploading directly from Photos or Safari, manages multiple WordPress sites from one app, offers three image quality levels (Original, Medium, Small), and can convert HEVC video to H.264 on upload.
