Toby is an AI mock interviewer for people with a job interview coming up. Instead of reading a list of common questions, the candidate gives Toby the job description or a company link, and the tool builds its practice around that specific role and employer.
The interviewer is an AI persona called Toby Higgins. He asks questions, listens to spoken answers and follows up, in a video call designed to resemble Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom. When the session ends, Toby returns a scored debrief that shows what worked and what to fix.
The process has three steps. First, the candidate tells Toby the role by pasting the job description. Toby then builds a prep brief and a set of questions for each round it expects, from a warm-up to harder curveball questions.
Second, the candidate takes the call. They choose a round, a mode (Real or Coach) and a length of 10, 20 or 30 minutes, then join in the browser with the camera on or off. Toby waits while the candidate thinks.
Third, the candidate gets the debrief: notes on each answer covering structure, filler words and pacing, plus what to say instead next time.
The prep side covers a company brief with stage, size, headquarters and business model, dated recent news, and talking points worth raising. Toby also maps each interview round, how long it runs and what it assesses, with questions tagged by competency and difficulty and marked when real candidates have reported them.
In practice, Real mode runs the interview straight through, while Coach mode gives one or two notes after each answer and a chance to retry. Coach notes appear only after the candidate stops talking.
The debrief gives a score out of 100, competency scores from 1 to 5 with the quote behind each, and delivery statistics: talk time, pace in words per minute, filler words and answer length. It also includes the full transcript and a stronger answer built only from what the candidate said.
Toby is an AI mock interviewer. You give it the job you have applied for, and it researches the company, maps the interview process and interviews you in a realistic video call. Afterward you get a scored debrief on every answer.
After the free first 5 minutes, Toby costs £0.50 a minute. Minutes are bought in packs from £5 (10 minutes) and are only used while on a call. A 20-minute mock interview uses £10 of minutes. Prices exclude VAT.

Toby runs in your browser in a call that looks and works like Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom. You pick the style your real interview uses. It does not connect to those products, and there is nothing to install.
You get a score out of 100, each competency scored 1 to 5 with the supporting quote, and stats on talk time, pace, filler words and answer length. Each answer is broken down into what worked and what to fix, with a stronger version built from what you said. The full transcript is included.
Yes, but only on your device. The recording is saved in your browser and never uploaded, and your voice is turned into text during the call so Toby can respond and write the debrief. You can delete a role with its transcripts and debriefs at any time.
No. Toby is for practice before the interview, and using it for live help during a real interview or assessment is not allowed under its terms. It also does not guarantee a job offer.
