xAssets is a configurable, browser-based asset management platform used by enterprises and government agencies to track IT hardware, software licenses, and fixed assets across their full lifecycle. Founded in the UK in 2001 (with development beginning in 1996), xAssets launched one of the first browser-based asset management systems in 2003 and now operates from offices in the US and UK. The platform is organized around three core products: IT Asset Management (a centralized asset register and CMDB with agentless/agent-based network discovery, procurement, contract and lease management, financial depreciation, and barcoding), Software Asset Management (a license calculation engine with temporal accounting, affinity-based allocation, and support for per-user, per-core, per-processor, concurrent-user, and subscription license models), and Fixed Asset Management (a lifecycle register with depreciation, barcoding, and configurable reporting that scales to millions of assets). Discovery tooling covers Windows, VMware ESX, Linux/Unix, Mac, IBM AIX, SNMP, and SSH devices at up to 70 nodes per second with minimal endpoint impact. xAssets integrates with Microsoft Intune, Entra, Azure, SCCM, JIRA, Tanium, ServiceNow, JAMF, Meraki, and AWS, and can be deployed as SaaS or on-premise. Customers include BMW, Fujitsu, Porsche, Lloyds, TD Bank, Panasonic, and Volvo, and the platform holds US Air Force certification for SIPRNET/NIPRNET use.
