What is Okimia?

Okimia is cash flow management and forecasting software for small and mid-sized businesses. It was previously called Fygr, and the company says the change brought a new identity with the same mission and expanded product capabilities.

The company describes itself as a pure player in cash management, meaning it does not try to cover accounting, invoicing or payroll. Its stated mission is to give SME and startup CEOs and CFOs back control of their cash, replacing complex spreadsheets and bank interfaces that it calls unreliable, time-consuming and error-prone.

How does Okimia work?

Okimia starts from a bank connection, which is the only prerequisite. Banking data is pulled continuously through Open Banking or EBICS, depending on configuration. Accounting data such as entries, invoices and due dates syncs several times a day. Most integrations are read-only into Okimia, while some allow pushing entries back, mainly for payments.

Once data is in, transactions are categorized automatically and feed real-time balances and forecasts. Users can view daily, weekly and monthly projections, build scenarios, and compare budget with actuals. Okimia states it does not issue customer invoices and does not replace the accounting software the accountant already uses.

Key features of Okimia

The cash management side includes multi-bank and multi-currency monitoring, automated categorization, bank reconciliation, forecasting with AI and advanced formulas, automated VAT estimation, target setting, and reporting with charts by category and custom metrics. Enterprise customers also get multi-entity consolidation.

The cash optimization side covers supplier payments by SEPA transfer and EBICS TS, physical and virtual corporate cards with usage rules, and a cash investment feature. The company says invested cash earns interest paid daily and can be withdrawn in under 24 hours at no charge.

Okimia also exposes an API connection and an MCP server for connecting AI agents, and offers exports to Excel and Google Sheets sync on its plans.
