Orgonaut is a scenario-first planning platform for organisation design. It gives a company one model of how its organisation is shaped today and how it could change, covering structure, cost, budgeted roles, compensation and the work teams do.
The product is positioned as a system of record for rapidly changing team structure. It is built for restructures, where a leader needs to test possible futures before anything touches the current baseline. The site says it can handle simple, deeply nested or matrixed organisations.
Orgonaut is currently in early access, and its marketing leans on the idea of redesigning an organisation for the agentic age, where AI agents work alongside people.
Orgonaut separates a Live baseline from scenarios. The Live baseline holds the current structure, reporting lines and placements. When a change is being considered, you clone Live into a scenario, edit it freely, and review a delta view showing changes in cost, FTE and velocity.
Once the plan is ready, the approved scenario is reviewed and promoted back to Live. Promotion keeps lineage and an event log, and snapshots preserve read-only historical states so you can see how one approved change led to the next.
Data gets in through CSV import with a quarantine and review step, manual entry, BambooHR sync, or Dynamics 365 HR sync. OrgSpec for Jira can also structure Jira data for export into Orgonaut.
The model treats people, contractors, AI agents and robots as actors who make up teams. Positions describe budgeted seats, while placements record who sits where with allocation and effective dates. A work catalog maps what people, agents and systems actually do, independent of job titles.
For visualisation, Charts present an interactive hierarchy and Matrix views show teams as columns and roles as rows, exposing coverage gaps and the people-to-agent mix.
Astro, the built-in agent, answers plain-language questions about structure and cost and can stage supported changes in a scenario. A REST API, CLI and remote MCP server expose the same model. Enterprise and Agency plans add Capabilities, AI Solutions and Transformation Cases.

Yes. Remote MCP access is on every plan, letting ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients work within each member's permissions. The built-in Astro agent can also stage supported changes in a scenario for human review.
Capabilities, AI Solutions and Transformation Cases, with reports, are on Enterprise and Agency. Work mappings are included on every plan.
The Team plan covers up to 75 actors and is self-serve, so smaller organisations can use it. Its focus on scenario planning and agent capacity suits teams that restructure often.
The account stays active until the end of the billing period, then has a 7-day export grace period before becoming read-only. It is scheduled for deletion 60 days after the lock.
