What is Sayora?

Sayora is an AI receptionist for UK small businesses. It answers calls on a dedicated UK number, takes the caller's details, books appointments and sends the owner each lead as the call ends. The company describes the aim as turning missed calls into warm leads.

Sayora Ltd is registered in Scotland and builds the product in Edinburgh. It was started by co-founders Jacob Anderson (CEO) and Bran Kacer (CTO), who previously worked together at a podcast software company. There is no support desk. Customers email hi@sayora.ai and one of the founders replies.

How does Sayora work?

Sayora answers on its own UK number, either a local number or a National 03 number. You keep the number your customers already ring and forward the calls you miss. Guided forwarding asks up to four questions, gives you the codes and runs a test call.

Setup starts with your business name or website. Sayora reads your Google listing and website pages and builds a receptionist in about a minute. You try it with the calls you expect, fix anything wrong, then claim it by adding a card and choosing your number.

Key features of Sayora

The receptionist answers only from what it has been given: your website, your business details, opening hours and Common questions, which it delivers word for word. If it lacks an answer, it takes a message. You can write up to ten rules, choose from 18 British and Irish voices and add up to three questions of your own.

On each call it can book into Google Calendar or Cal.com, screen out cold sales calls and take messages for couriers or suppliers. Leads arrive by text and email with a summary, details, booking, recording and transcript. Phone numbers and email addresses in recordings are bleeped out.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Builds a receptionist from your website and Google listing in about a minute, with no developer needed
  • Books into live Google Calendar or Cal.com availability and texts the caller a confirmation
  • Takes a message rather than inventing a price or promise when it lacks an answer
  • Early bird Pro at £49 a month includes unlimited minutes, a UK number and no VAT
  • No contract, cancel any time, and a 7-day free trial after a free build and test
  • Founders answer support email directly, and five Trustpilot reviewers rate it five stars

Cons

  • Cannot transfer a call to you, so callers who ask for you get a message taken instead
  • Callers are told it is an AI and some hang up, especially at first
  • The £49 early bird is limited to 50 accounts, and later Pro is £79 with a call allowance and no account manager
  • Only Google Calendar and Cal.com are named, and custom integrations need Enterprise

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sayora?

Sayora is an AI receptionist for UK small businesses. It answers calls on a dedicated UK number, takes messages, books callers into a diary and sends the owner each lead as the call ends.

How much does Sayora cost?

Pro is £49 a month for early bird accounts, who keep that price while they stay. After the early bird places are gone, new Pro accounts pay £79 a month. Enterprise is custom priced, and no VAT is added to the £49.

Does Sayora have a free trial?

Building and testing a receptionist is free with no card. Adding a card to claim it starts a 7-day free trial, with a reminder on day 6 and the first charge on day 8.

Can Sayora transfer calls to me?

No. When a caller asks for you, Sayora explains that calls cannot be transferred, takes a message and sends it to you as the call ends, marked urgent if it cannot wait.

What does Sayora integrate with?

Sayora books into Google Calendar and Cal.com. A calendar is optional, because without one it still takes enquiries and sends leads by text or email. Integrations with your own systems are part of Enterprise.

Can I keep my existing phone number?

Yes. You keep your number and divert missed calls to your Sayora number, or divert every call from a mobile. Sayora shows the codes for your phone and rings your line to test them.

Will callers know they are speaking to an AI?

Yes. New callers hear they are talking to an AI receptionist, and every caller hears that the call is recorded. Calls from people who hang up still appear in your call history.

Is there a contract?

No. Sayora is month to month and can be cancelled any time from Settings, then Billing. After the free week, you stay live until the end of the month you have paid for.
