Cloudpermit is cloud-based software for local governments, covering building permitting, licensing, planning & zoning, code enforcement, and public works work…
Cloudpermit is a cloud-based (SaaS) software platform built specifically for local governments and municipal agencies across North America, covering both Community Development and Public Works operations. On the community development side, it offers Building Permitting, Licensing, Land Use Permitting, Planning & Zoning, Inspections, Code Enforcement, and Property Management. On the public works side, it offers Work Orders, Facilities & Buildings, Public Works Permitting, Parks & Recreation, Sports Facilities, and Roads & Highways. The platform lets residents and contractors apply for permits and licenses and make payments online, while staff use the system to route applications, schedule and record field inspections (including offline-capable mobile inspections), and manage assets and work orders from a central system. Cloudpermit integrates with plan-review tools (Bluebeam, DigEplan), GIS/property-data systems (Esri ArcGIS, RegGrid), code libraries (ICC), document management (Laserfiche), municipal ERP (Tyler Tech), and a range of online payment processors. The site interface is offered in English, Spanish, and French. In February 2026, Cloudpermit acquired CityReporter, a cloud-based maintenance-management and inspections platform for municipalities, extending Cloudpermit's suite from regulatory/permitting processes into broader asset and facilities maintenance. Cloudpermit states it serves 1,450+ local-government customers, with a long-standing base of 400+ Canadian municipalities; its North American headquarters relocated from Canada to Fairfax County (Reston), Virginia in summer 2021, while it retains Canadian offices in Toronto, Ontario and Vancouver, British Columbia.
