Kickresume is an online resume and cover letter builder for job seekers. The company says more than 8 million people have used it. The site pairs a template-based editor with AI tools that write, rewrite and check resume content, so users can move from a blank page to a finished document without designing anything themselves.
Beyond documents, the platform includes a personal website builder, a Career Map, a job board and an interview questions generator. Kickresume says it builds its tools with HR professionals and names Marta Říhová as an HR consultant on the project. The homepage also cites a Forbes recommendation and Trustpilot ratings of 4.7 out of 5.
Users sign up, choose a resume template, and enter their details or import them from LinkedIn or a PDF. The AI Writer can generate an entire resume from a job title and a job ad, while the rewriter adjusts existing text to match industry language. Resume tailoring then adapts the document to a specific job description.
Once the resume is drafted, the ATS Resume Checker compares it with successful resumes in Kickresume's database and returns a score, so users can see how it might fare with applicant tracking systems. A matching cover letter can be added from templates that mirror the resume design, and documents can be downloaded or accessed in the mobile apps.
The core tools are the resume builder, the AI Resume Writer, resume tailoring and the ATS Resume Checker. Cover letters get their own builder and a GPT-4.1 powered AI Cover Letter Writer. Resume translation and resume feedback sit alongside the writer, which helps users who apply in more than one language or want a second opinion on their content.
Other tools cover career planning and visibility. Career Map scans a resume and recommends career paths, and the website builder turns a resume into a personal site. The service also lists a job board, an interview questions generator and a resignation letter generator. Premium customization includes 26 fonts, unlimited colors and what the site calls about 1,000,000 design combinations.
