Lisorto is an AI file organizer and search app for Mac, made by Belord LLC. It reads the files in a folder, including scans and screenshots, and files each one into a clearly named Space with a clear file name. The site describes it as an independent Mac app.
The pitch is control. Nothing moves until you approve it, Lisorto never deletes or overwrites files, and every move is recorded so it can be undone. It also works as a search tool that finds files by words inside them.
How does Lisorto work?
You pick a folder, with Downloads suggested as a starting point. Lisorto reads the files on your Mac and shows where each one will go. You can change a Space, skip a file, or leave unclear ones in a "Needs a look" list.
One click then sorts the batch in an animated view called Showtime, and Quiet mode skips the animation. Right before each move, Lisorto checks that the file is still the one you approved, and it keeps a journal so an interrupted batch is put right. A whole batch can be undone in one step.
Key features of Lisorto
Spaces are ordinary folders such as Bills and receipts, Contracts and forms, Travel, Work, Reading, Images, Screenshots, Installers and Duplicates. Duplicates are set aside instead of deleted. Pro adds AutoPilot, which sorts new files as they land, and clear names for scans and screenshots based on what they show.
Search runs from the menu bar or Shift-Command-Space and matches names and text inside files, including scans Spotlight cannot read. Pro searches more folders and photos by content, and with Apple Intelligence on macOS 26 it answers questions about your files. Free up space lists used installers, copies and large unopened files.
Key Features
Approve-first Tidy up — Lisorto shows the exact destination for each file before anything moves. You can change a Space, skip a file, or leave unclear ones for later.
Spaces — Destinations are regular folders inside the tidied folder, such as Bills and receipts, Travel, Screenshots, Installers and Duplicates. They can be renamed, and Pro allows custom Spaces and rules.
AutoPilot (Pro) — Sorts new files as they arrive in Downloads, the Desktop or any added folder. Uncertain files wait for you, and it can be paused from the menu bar.
Clear names (Pro) — Scans and screenshots are renamed after what they show, and a receipt screenshot is filed with bills. New names are shown first and Undo restores the old one.
Search by word inside — Shift-Command-Space finds files by name or by the text inside, including scans and screenshots. Free searches what Lisorto filed; Pro adds other folders.
Photo and question search (Pro) — Finds photos by what they show, and with Apple Intelligence on macOS 26 or later, answers questions about your files and points to the source file.
History and Undo — Every move is recorded, and a single file or an entire batch can be reversed. Undo stays free, including for moves made during Pro.
Duplicate handling — Second downloads and files like Report (1).pdf go to a Duplicates Space instead of being deleted.
Free up space (Pro) — Lists installers for apps you already have, copies, and big files unopened for months, with sizes. Only what you pick goes to the Trash, and Put back returns it.
Local reading with optional Cloud AI — File names, paths and document text are read on the Mac. Cloud AI is off by default and shows what it sends before you consent.
Showtime and Quiet mode — An animated sort view ends with a shareable cleanup card showing counts and Space names only. Quiet mode sorts without the animation.

How much does Lisorto cost?
Lisorto Free costs $0. Lisorto Pro is $29 once, $29 a year, or $4.99 a month, and the lifetime price rises to $39 and then $49 as licenses sell. Lisorto Business is $9 a month or $79 a year.

Yes. Every feature is available for 7 days from the first time you open the app, with no card and no account. Afterward you stay on Lisorto Free unless you buy Pro.
Does Lisorto delete files?
No. It only moves and renames files after you approve, and copies go to a Duplicates folder. Every move can be undone for a single file or a whole batch.
Do my files leave my Mac?
File names, paths and document text are read locally, and the search index stays on the Mac. Optional Cloud AI is off by default and, for a document your rules cannot place, sends a short text excerpt after showing you what it will send.
Which Macs does Lisorto run on?
Any Mac with macOS 14 or later, Apple Silicon or Intel. Clear names and on-Mac AI need an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 26 and Apple Intelligence; other Macs can use Cloud AI with consent.
Is Lisorto good for small businesses and freelancers?
Lisorto Pro suits anyone who handles invoices, receipts and bookings. Lisorto Business adds a Money view of unpaid invoices, expenses, subscriptions and a tax pack, read on the Mac, though it was not yet on sale in the source pages.
Can Lisorto search folders it did not sort?
Yes, with Pro. You can add Documents, the Desktop, iCloud Drive or any folder in Settings, and Lisorto finds files there by name or by the text inside. It only reads those folders.
