Peas & Pans is meal planning software for nutrition coaches, dietitians and personal trainers. A coach sets a client's calorie and protein targets, builds the week from their own recipes and a checked library, and sends it as a private link and a branded PDF under the coach's own name. The product is built and run by its founder, Suraj, in Dehradun, India.
It is deliberately narrow. The about page says it is not a practice management system: there is no scheduling, billing, telehealth or client app, and it is not meant to hold medical records. It sits beside tools such as Practice Better, Healthie or a spreadsheet and handles only the meal plan itself, from recipe import through to client delivery.
The workflow has three steps: import, build and share. Coaches paste a recipe link, photograph a cookbook page, upload a PDF or type the text. The software fetches and reads the recipe, matches each ingredient line to a USDA FoodData Central food, and flags uncertain matches for the coach to check. Calories, protein, carbs and fat are then shown per serving.
In the plan builder, recipes are dragged into each day, or every empty slot is filled in one press. Daily totals are measured against the client's targets, such as 1,850 kcal and 152 g protein in the site's sample plan. Meals can be swapped, days copied and a grocery list generated. Publishing produces a private client page and a PDF.
The starter library has 500+ checked recipes across breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, each matched line by line to its source, plus 13,000+ USDA foods with household measures converted to grams. Recipes can be browsed by meal, diet and ingredients to leave out, then used as they are or copied and edited. Each recipe has a method and a macro ring.
Client management is light. One table shows each client's targets, this week's planned days, status and when they last opened their page, while the home screen shows who is waiting for a plan. Branding covers logo, colour, font pairing and six templates: Warm, Slate, Editorial, Clean, Notebook and Statement. PDFs come in A4 or Letter and include the grocery list.
Outside the app, a free recipe nutrition calculator returns calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre per serving without sign-up, and a one-link bio page offers a booking button. Data can be exported at any time, including on the free plan, and an AI agent such as Claude or ChatGPT can be connected to add clients and import recipes by chat.

Yes. Free is available forever with no credit card, for up to 3 clients. Client pages and PDFs carry one small line, "Made with Peas & Pans", which Pro removes.
Every ingredient is matched to a food in USDA FoodData Central. The match is shown beside each recipe line, and anything uncertain is flagged for the coach to check and change.
There is no integration to set up. The private link and PDF can be sent in Healthie chat, attached to a Practice Better record, or added where Trainerize's nutrition tab asks for one. AI agents such as Claude or ChatGPT can also be connected.
