Polar Analytics is an ecommerce data platform that brings Shopify, advertising, email, marketplace and finance data into a dedicated Snowflake database owned by the brand. On top of that warehouse it adds a semantic layer with more than 400 harmonized metrics and dimensions, business intelligence, attribution, alerts and AI agents. The company says more than 4,000 ecommerce brands and agencies use it.
Its pitch starts from a familiar problem. Shopify, GA4 and Meta can each report a different revenue figure for the same 30 days, and AI tools tend to guess when they lack context such as returns, inventory, COGS and margin. Polar positions itself as a single source of truth that people and AI tools both read from, replacing a stack of separate tools for pipelines, warehousing, modeling and reporting.
Data comes in through connectors. Polar lists 1000+ one-click options, and an AI Data Engineer agent can connect any source that has an API. The data is modeled in the customer's own Snowflake instance, where business context such as docs and plans can be connected like any other source.
A semantic layer sits at the center. Every question, whether typed into Ask Polar or sent by an AI agent, becomes a governed query using defined metrics, so agents never query raw tables. Teams can set custom metrics, attribution windows and cost assumptions, such as shipping cost per order or agency fee.
Accuracy checks run daily against source systems, and a Metric Integrity Report shows that the numbers hold. Shopify and the Polar Pixel refresh about every 15 minutes, ad platforms within the hour, and Amazon daily.
Business Intelligence includes a dashboard library, custom reporting, multi-touch attribution, goal tracking, alerts and scheduled reports. Add-ons cover intraday refresh, demographic enrichment, SQL access, Google Sheets mirroring and custom connectors. Ask Polar answers plain-language questions and supports root-cause analysis, for example investigating why blended ROAS dropped in a week.
The AI side includes Polar Operator, which works in Slack and Teams and prepares actions for team approval, and Polar MCP, which lets Claude, ChatGPT and similar tools use governed data. The first-party pixel with Lifetime ID supports cross-device tracking.
Polar also sells Incrementality Testing with a dedicated data scientist, Klaviyo Audiences for recovering missed abandonment events, and a Conversion API Enhancer that sends events to Meta and Google Ads with filtering controls. The Frankie Shop reports a 30% Meta ROAS increase after adopting it.
Polar Analytics is an ecommerce data platform that centralizes data from Shopify, ad platforms, email, marketplaces and finance tools in a dedicated Snowflake warehouse. It adds a semantic layer, BI, attribution and AI agents on top.
Polar does not publish prices. The pricing page has a Core Plan and a Custom Plan, both quoted through a demo, with pricing tied to annual gross merchandise value. The Core Plan is described as saving 20% versus buying products individually.
The sources do not mention a free trial or free plan. Access starts with a Book a demo request. The Conversion API Enhancer page mentions a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Polar says that on the same settings it matches each source, including Shopify, Amazon and Meta. It recreates each platform's logic from its API, tests every connector daily, and aligns settings such as refund date, tax treatment and timezone during onboarding.
The brand does. Data sits in an isolated Snowflake database on AWS, hosted in the US by default with EU hosting on request. Customers can get read-only SQL access, connect BI tools and export whenever they want.
Polar lists 1000+ one-click connectors, including Shopify, Amazon Seller and Vendor Central, Amazon Ads, Meta, Google, TikTok, Klaviyo, Recharge, Skio and NetSuite. Spreadsheets come in through Google Sheets, and Claude and ChatGPT connect through Polar MCP.
Connecting data takes about 20 minutes, and users can ask questions within 30. Historical loads take 24 hours to a couple of days. Most teams use Polar daily within a week and are fully set up in four to six weeks.
Polar says it is open rather than a black box, showing every definition, touchpoint and raw data. It also emphasizes a flexible omnichannel model covering Shopify, Amazon, retail and wholesale, and AI that runs on a governed semantic layer.
