What is Touchplot?

Touchplot is a web-based Customer Journey Map tool that combines analytics, survey responses and support tickets in one live view. Instead of a static diagram in Miro or slides, the map updates as new events and responses arrive. It shows where customers drop off and what they said or felt at each stage.

It is aimed at CX, product and support teams, plus consultants and agencies. Touchplot is free while in beta, and the company says a first map takes about five minutes with no data team, SQL or warehouse required.

How does Touchplot work?

Setup follows three steps. First, answer a few prompts and AI drafts a journey with stages, touchpoints and emotional highs and lows. Second, upload research such as survey answers, interview transcripts or a metrics CSV, and Touchplot attaches the quotes and numbers to the stage they explain.

Third, and optionally, connect live sources like Shopify, Stripe, Segment or Intercom so the map updates itself and flags drop-offs as they happen. Insights follow a chain from source to evidence, insight, opportunity and solution, so each fix can be traced back to its data.

Key features of Touchplot

The journey map carries an emotion layer on every stage, persona-based views and a competitor overlay for benchmarking. Built-in surveys offer CSAT, NPS and CES, delivered by embed, email or public link, with responses attached to the exact touchpoint they relate to.

For follow-through, triggers alert Slack or email when a touchpoint slips, and owners and status can be tracked on the map. Dashboards roll up conversion, satisfaction and churn risk, filterable by segment, time range or channel, and can be shared as a live link.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Combines analytics, surveys and support tickets on one live map instead of stitching separate tools together.
  • Starts with an AI-drafted journey and CSV uploads, so no integrations or data team are needed to begin.
  • Surveys (CSAT, NPS, CES) are built in, with responses attached to the exact touchpoint.
  • Wide connector list plus REST API, webhooks and CSV import for sources without a native connector.
  • Free Starter plan stays available after beta, and all plans are free during beta.
  • Triggers, owners and status tracking turn a drop-off signal into a tracked fix.

Cons

  • Paid pricing is not yet in effect; the $49/month Pro price applies only after beta ends.
  • Starter is limited to 3 journey maps, 2 connections and 7 days of data history.
  • Enterprise pricing is not published and requires contacting sales.
  • Testimonials come from beta design partners, and no customer numbers are published, so track record is hard to judge.
