What is FuseDesk?

FuseDesk is a help desk, ticketing, live chat and messaging platform for customer support teams. It connects to CRMs, including Keap (formerly Infusionsoft), ActiveCampaign, Ontraport and GoHighLevel, so support cases and contact records stay in sync.

The product traces back to 2009, when founder Jeremy Shapiro was launching a business on Infusionsoft. He found that help desks were either hard to use or did not integrate with the CRM, and built one himself. FuseDesk has since become a stand-alone help desk rather than only an Infusionsoft add-on. The product is operated by Asandia, Corp.

How does FuseDesk work?

Incoming emails arrive in FuseDesk and are turned into tickets, called cases. Cases are routed to agents, who reply using templates and snippets. Templates can include merge fields pulled from the CRM contact record, which keeps replies personal.

Live chat, SMS, phone and social messaging appear in the same workspace. When an agent opens a conversation, the full customer profile, the channel the customer is using and the most relevant history are visible. Reports then show activity across cases, products and agents.

Key features of FuseDesk

The core feature set covers omnichannel messaging, templates, automations, reporting and CRM sync. Automations engage website visitors and handle routine steps, and the limits scale by plan: 3x on Free and Lite, 10x on PRO and 25x on Enterprise.

Other capabilities include case transfers, case tags, priority levels, departments for separate brands or product lines, voicemail parsing, bulk actions and email forwarding. Higher tiers add data retention policies, private label and outbound ESP support. Reports track agent activity, cases and customer satisfaction in real time.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Free account has no time limit, no credit card and unlimited seats, with 100 cases.
  • Two-way sync with Keap, ActiveCampaign, Ontraport and GoHighLevel keeps case history and contact data aligned.
  • Email, chat, SMS, phone, Messenger and Instagram DM are handled in one platform.
  • Pricing is a published per-seat rate, with 2 months free on annual billing.
  • Templates use merge fields from the CRM record, so replies can be personalized quickly.
  • Help docs cover setup, voicemail services, departments and rep permissions in detail.

Cons

  • Messenger, Instagram DM, Twilio SMS and WhatsApp are listed only from the PRO plan upward.
  • Seats are charged per rep and per extra department, so multi-brand teams may pay more than expected.
  • Strongest fit is for CRM-centered small businesses, and sources show less about use outside that group.
  • Automations are capped at 3x on Free and Lite.
